OCTAVIAN IORDACHE
Summary of professional activities
Octavian Iordache spent about 20 years doing teaching and research in the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, and 10 years doing R&D in Viasystems Canada. He was visiting Professor and Scientist in several universities from Europe and North America. Now he is with a start up company Polystochastic which is doing RDT&E activity.
He has a Ph.D in chemical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest (1974) and a diploma in mathematics from the University of Bucharest (1976).
The research and teaching activity pertains to the domains of chemical engineering, material science and mathematical modeling. The activity is exposed in more than 100 publications, 12 books, and a large number of communications and contracts.
The pioneering and most original contribution is the framework of polystochastic models, PSM. Polytope projects, PTP, describe the general reference architecture allowing facing complexity as encountered in PSM advances. These unifying methodologies were already present since the very first papers and become more explicit and more developed in the later ones.
